Host a Learn & Burn or Training

Partner with the Michigan Prescribed Fire Council to host a Learn & Burn (public fire demonstration) or other training/outreach events. Some funding may be available. Contact Stephanie Diep at info@firecouncil.org with your ideas and needs to be added to the quarterly meeting schedule for council consideration.

Cohesive Fire Strategy Federal Grant

The shared commitment of reducing the risk of catastrophic wildfires doesn’t stop at a jurisdictional boundary. Through the Cohesive Fire Strategy grant program, the Forest Service supports states, Sovereign Tribal nations and partners in their efforts of developing resilient landscapes, encouraging fire-adapted communities and reducing wildfire risk on non-federal land.
